Hema Malini to receive Akkineni Award

Dream Girl Hema Malini will receive Akkineni Award, 2011 for her outstanding contribution to film land. The Award was instituted by Akkineni Inernational Foundation to honour people who dedicated their life to Indian cinema.

Dev Anand was the recipient of the inaugural edition and others who followed include Shabana Azmi, Anjali Devi, Vyjayanti Mala, Lata Mangeshkar and K Balachander.

The Award would be presented to her on December 26 at a grand function which will be attended by luminaries of film industry and political field as well
